Freeriding is a group activity! Book your spot in a group course with 3 to 6 participants and make new friends on the mountain. Choose between Variable Terrain and Freeride Off Piste
Variable Terrain – Freeride introduction in secured ski area
A great introduction to freeride held in secured ski area. Develop your unique skiing style and build confidence to master various terrains and snow conditions, including bumps, powder, hard-packed snow, and uneven terrain. Learn about safety aspects without going into the exposed off piste area.
- Saturday Adult group: minimum age 16 years and level 4+ or confidence at black slopes.
- Saturday Kids & Teenagers group: recommended age 8-16 years and minimum level 4+.
- Week Kids & Teenagers group: Every morning starting on Monday, for 3 half-days or for 5 half-days. Recommended age 8-16 years and minimum level 4+. Book directly in the group lessons
Freeride – Off Piste
Classic off piste skiing, including challenging variable terrains and safety aspects of skiing outside the secured ski area. Together we explore some of the classic Engelberg freeride runs.
- Equipment: Avalanche equipment required (transceiver, shovel, and probe). Available for rent at Prime. Skis with around 80-110mm waist width are recommended.
- Requirements: Confidence on black slopes, including variable terrains; good health and a strong fitness level. Minimum age 16 years.
We offer Freeride group courses on the following Saturdays from 8:30 till 12:00. Other days on request.
